It has purpose. Its creation brings enjoyment and a feeling of achievement. It communicates the artist’s perception of the environment such as a winter scene, the benefits of weighing ingredients and the features of a service for the well-being of an individual, society or organization. Art can affect the thoughts, emotions, intentions, and behavior of the observer through personal interpretation of the work's meaning. But how much more so that an observer appreciates the work when having knowledge of the artist's message? And when works contain images with music or literature, the message conveyed becomes even more meaningful. The use of art can function then to differentiate brands and organizations and promote events and causes with the purpose of marketing meaningful products.
